bending lines is a sound installation created during a one-week residency as part of the Brachiale festival at the Zukunftshof in Vienna. The work consists of live generated sounds of several sound objects as well as continuously overplaying tape loops. Motors cause found objects to circle and vibrate by scanning surfaces with sight-specific materials. Just as the fallow land is part of a cycle, a phase of regeneration, the installation also deals with the passing of time, pausing, rotating, looping, reworking, layering and transforming. The materials and sounds are fragile fragments that encounter each other briefly in a vacant space before returning to their familiar environment.
